Gas Safe Register
What is Gas Safe Register?
Gas Safe Register is the only official gas registration body of gas businesses and engineers in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey. By law all gas businesses must be on the Gas Safe Register.
A gas engineer can only be aligned to a registered business and be issued with a license to undertake gas work on behalf of a registered business if they hold a valid and current qualification. This evidence of competence relates only to matters of gas safety and is obtained by every engineer through a recognised route of training and assessment (much as the DVLA issues driving licences to those who have demonstrated their competence by passing a driving test)

CheckaTrade
Committed to quality
When it comes to our homes, trust and quality matter. An estimated 6.7 million UK adults are impacted by rogue trades every year. That’s why, since 1998, we’ve been committed to championing trade excellence.
We’re known for our high standards. Every trade that wants to join us must pass up to 12 checks before they can gain our seal of approval.
Trades must prove they are who they say they are, and that where necessary they are qualified to do the work.
We check they’ve never been bankrupt, insolvent, struck off a directorship, or subject to a county court judgement.
They must prove that they give their customers consistently exceptional experiences.
Last year, we rejected over 1,200 trades who failed our checks. We’re proud to be selective.
And we never stop checking. Members must achieve continually positive reviews throughout their membership, which we spot-check and verify to ensure they’ve been left by real people, about real experiences.
